Goal: Governance and Communication
Finalize the 501c6 formation
Work with ICMA to update ICMA/Cal-ICMA Relationship Agreement
Update the ICMA/Cal-ICMA Secretariat Agreement
Increase ICMA membership in California
Support and collaborate with Affiliates
Hold Affiliate study sessions
Goal: Activate Partners in Local Governance
Pursue partnerships with other organizations to advance the initiative
Clarify in materials that this is for elected officials
Evaluate long-term plan
Goal: Support the ICMA Senior Advisor Program
Explore opportunities to support the program revamp
Goal: 2026 ICMA Annual Conference
Work jointly with the Host Committee in supporting the following efforts:
Assist in securing sponsors with a goal of raising $200,000
Assist in securing volunteers with a goal of 250-300 volunteers
Support scholarships for California members to attend the conference
Support finding City hosts for the Assistants Exchange with a goal of 30-45 placements
Submit a support letter for the ICMA Conference Closing Reception to be at the Queen Mary
Promote the conference through partnership organizations, member agencies, city manager groups, etc. (including the child watch program, 5K run, and volunteer opportunities)
